In the final rankings for the 2024-25 season for girls wrestling, a new No. 1 has emerged. USA Wrestling, FloWrestling and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum have put together their list, which includes girls enrolled in grades 8-12 and from all 50 states.
These rankings include a number of athletes who will be in action at the upcoming 2025 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals held each year in Fargo, North Dakota. The dates for that tournament is July 12-13.
A new top-ranked wrestler has emerged in Josephine Larson of Illinois, as she holds the No. 1 spot at 190 pounds. Larson also moved inside the pound-for-pound rankings, checking in at No. 25.

The other top-ranked individuals all remained the same in Madison Healey of Pennsylvania at 95 pounds, Jaclyn Bouzakis of Pennsylvania at 100, Morgan Turner from Illinois at 105, Heather Crull of Indiana at 110, Epenesa Elison from California at 115, Everest Leydecker of Arizona at 120, Emma Bacon from Pennsylvania at 125, Aubre Krazer of Pennsylvania at 130, Maryland's Taina Fernandez at 135, Daniella Nugent from Massachusetts at 140, Violette Lasure from Pennsylvania at 145, Ella Poalillo of New Jersey at 155, Tennessee's Piper Fowler at 170 and Tilisa Matakaiongo of Utah at 235.
The rankings will not be updated again by the group until the fall, with graduated seniors moving out and incoming eighth-graders being eligible to be selected.
Leydecker, a junior, remained as the No. 1 ranked pound-for-pound wrestler in the country. Fernandez, Krazer, Bouzaki, Crull, Fowler and Turner followed with second-ranked Bella Williams of Colorado coming in at No. 8. Williams competes at 130 pounds.
Other non-No. 1 wrestlers on the pound-for-pound list include Jordyn Fouse of Pennysylvania, Jael Miller of Pennsylvania, Katey Valdez from Colorado, Ella Pagel of Minnesota, Cassandra Gonzales of Minnesota, Riley Hanrahan from Wisconsin, Abbi Cooper of California, Taylor Whiting from Wisconsin, Harlee Miller of Illinois and Isabella Marie Gonzales from California.
