Bixby (Oklahoma) has enjoyed a tremendous run of success in the past decade, and the Spartans are wanting to add another championship trophy in 2025.
They have bolstered their roster even more with the addition of quarterback Boston Hamilton. Hamilton, an incoming freshman, transferred to Bixby from nearby Claremore according to a post on his social media page Wednesday.
“After thinking long and hard about my decision I have decided to take my talents to BIXBY HS,” Hamilton wrote in his post. “I’m ready to be a part of a great program and coaches. Ready to work.”

Hamilton, who goes 6-foot and weighs 145 pounds, joins a Bixby squad that has won 10 state titles over the past 11 seasons, including the last three as Class 6AI champions.
More than likely, Hamilton won’t be seeing a lot of action for the Spartans this fall, as Bixby already returns one of the state’s top quarterbacks, senior Carson Kirby. Kirby has led the Spartans to their last two championships, combining for nearly 5,200 yards and 69 touchdowns over the past two seasons.
But coach Loren Montgomery, who has been part of all 10 of those title teams at Bixby, knows he has another possible offensive weapon at his disposal. It isn’t the first time Montgomery has used at least two quarterbacks on a title squad.
In 2021 for instance, the Spartans used both Connor Kirby - Carson’s older brother - and Christian Burke as their primary quarterbacks en route to taking the 6AII title. Burke passed for more than 3,000 yards and 35 TDs, while Connor Kirby was mainly used in the Wildcat offense and rushed for 19 TDs.
