One state high school association will be bringing instant replay procedures for its football title games starting this season.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association, in its recent June board meeting, approved the use of instant replay in high school football effective for the 2025 season. But those will only be used for the championship games, known as the Football Show-Me Bowl.

“Beginning this season, instant replay will be implemented for Football Show-Me Bowl games only,” the MSHSAA said in a press release. “The replay system is intended to correct obvious and potentially game-changing errors - not to re-officiate routine plays.”

The use of instant replay continues what will be a new era for the Show-Me Bowl. Also starting this season, the games will be played in St. Joseph at Spratt Memorial Stadium on the campus of Missouri Western State University.

Previously, the Show-Me Bowl was held at the University of Missouri’s Faurot Field. The deal with Missouri Western to hold the title games will be for at least the next four years, which includes the championship contests for all six 11-man classifications, as well as the 8-man title game, which was played at Missouri Western last season.
