An Oklahoma high school conference defensive lineman of the year has decided on a college.
Nehemiah Kolone, a Class of 2026 defensive lineman from Stillwater (Okla.) High School, announced his commitment Monday night to play at Brigham Young University. Kolone (6-foot-4, 260 pounds) picked the Cougars over hometown Oklahoma State as well as Michigan State.

Kolone, who is considered a three-star recruit, had 35 tackles, six tackles for loss and forced a fumble during his junior season in 2024, as Stillwater finished 9-3 and won an opening-round playoff game. Following the season, he was named the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference’s Defensive Lineman of the Year.
As a sophomore, Kolone registered 64 tackles, eight tackles for loss and five sacks.
He is ranked as the No. 104 defensive lineman in the country by 247Sports and becomes the 18th Class of 2026 player to commit to BYU. Kolone also became the second player on Monday to commit with the Cougars, joining Braxton Lindsey, a three-star linebacker/defensive lineman from Rogers, Ark., who picked BYU over Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri.
BYU is currently ranked as the No. 39 recruiting class in the country by On3, as well as the fourth-best recruiting class in the Big 12 Conference.
