The recruiting class for 2026 continues to come together for Iowa State and head coach Matt Campbell.

Josiah Zayas, a key two-way standout for national power St. Thomas Aquinas, committed to the Cyclones recently. A native of Edison, New Jersey, Zayas made a visit to Ames, Iowa last month before seeing what he liked.

Last year for St. Thomas Aquinas, Zayas caught 41 passes for just over 1,000 yards and scored 16 touchdowns. On the other side of the ball, the 6-foot-2 athlete recorded seven interceptions and recovered a fumble that he returned for another score.
Zayas held offers from schools such as Wake Forest, Syracuse, Boston College and Wisconsin among others. 247Sports ranks him as a three-star prospect and the No. 20 overall prospect in New Jersey.
St. Thomas Aquinas is a private school located in New Jersey that is considered a college prep high school for students in grades 9-12. The football team has won several sectional championships over the years.
