St Kilda may be growing into a destination club right before our very eyes, with the Saints now in the box seat to land West Coast premiership hero Liam Ryan.
The news comes just a day after superstar Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera put pen to paper to stay at Moorabbin.
The Saints are all but guaranteed to lure Tom De Koning and Leek Aleer out of Carlton and GWS respectively on lucrative deals, with the expectation now being that Ryan will follow suit.
Tim Watson aired the news on SEN Breakfast, just a week after he also suggested the Saints presented a mammoth offer for Ryan’s current teammate Harley Reid.

“I’ll tell you what’s happening right now, if you want to take a really optimistic look at St Kilda right now. You’ve locked away NAS (Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera), TDK (Tom De Koning) is going to St Kilda… they will add Leek Aleer,” Watson started.
“They’ll add Liam Ryan as well. He’ll move from the West Coast Eagles to St Kilda.
“I don’t know whether it’s been reported or not. But I’m just saying… this is what they’ll do in the off-season.
“There’s a lot to be excited and optimistic about regarding St Kilda right now.”
Ryan is a lively small forward that has booted 158 goals from 124 games during his tenure with the Eagles.
The 28-year-old was part of the Eagles’ premiership-winning side in 2018, but in recent times the club has fallen to the bottom of the ladder, winning just one game in 2025 with just one round remaining.
Ryan was last week reported by the Herald Sun’s Jon Ralph to be gaining interest out east, with Victoria being seen as a “preferred destination” for him.
