Jayce Schwiesow, Saint Ansgar
The senior recorded 15 strikeouts in just over six innings of action in a 7-3 win over West Fork.
Gabe Olsen, Alta-Aurelia
Olsen needed just 86 pitches to record 15 strikeouts, allowing only three hits with one walk.
Colby Den Hartog, Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley
Den Hartog silenced Sheldon, striking out 15 of the 23 batters he faced while allowing just a single hit on the night.
Jamison Rothmeyer, Central Springs
Rothmeyer, a freshman, struck out 15 with one hit allowed in five-plus innings of work. There is a pitch-limit which he hit as a ninth-grader.
Dane Van Mersbergen, North Mahaska
The junior was 5-for-5 with four singles and a double, driving in five runs in a 13-10 victory.
Carter Johnson, Waukee
Johnson finished 5-for-5 with two runs scored and two more RBI in a victory over Valley, 7-1.
Nolan Wagoner, Clarinda
Wagoner put together a strong game as a freshman, finishing 5-for-5 at the plate with four singles and a triple, scoring three times and driving in one.
Emmett Burke, Lone Tree
In seven steal attempts, Burke recorded seven steals, scoring four times.
