The Cleveland Browns' quarterback controversy has been one of the most discussed topics of the NFL offseason. The Browns have four quarterbacks competing for the potential starting job, while the remaining three will hope to hold a spot on the depth chart. At least one will be sent away, but which one will earn the starting job? According to Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, it's clear who the Browns will be starting.
“Kenny Pickett’s going to start the first game," Lloyd said on The Ken Carman Show. "I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t.”
Per ESPN Cleveland, Pickett had the second-most attempts in OTAs and training camp with 63, second to Dillon Gabriel who had 83. Pickett said when he was acquired that he felt he would have the chance to earn the starting job, and head coach Kevin Stefanski expressed faith in Pickett do be the guy for 2025.
