Lachlan Galvin's future is no longer up in the air.

The highly-touted teenage playmaker has officially signed with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs according to a report from Code Sports.

This closes the book on a dramatic and drawn-out departure from the Wests Tigers that started with Galvin rejecting a $5 million pay day from the Concord-based club.

The 19-year-old is reportedly set to begin training with the Bulldogs immediately after securing a formal release from the Tigers.

His new contract will keep him in Belmore until the end of 2028, shaking up the current formula that has Canterbury sitting at the top of the premiership ladder.

No official statement has been made by either club, however, it is expected that the move will include a transfer fee and confidentiality agreement.

The Parramatta Eels reportedly came heartbreakingly close to landing Galvin's services, with powerbrokers now turning their attention to another rising Tigers star.

Canterbury have a bye in round 13, meaning the first time Bulldogs fans could see Galvin in blue and white, may be in their clash against none other than Parramatta on June 9.

There's no denying the pressure that will come with the deal. Whilst the financial terms are reported to average out just above $750,000 annually, the spotlight on his performance will be enormous.

He now moves into a Bulldogs system headed up by Phil Gould and Cameron Ciraldo that he believes will maximise his potential.
