Caitlin Clark spoke to reporters following the Indiana Fever's practice Thursday about her timeline for return.
The news was about what most expected: she isn't sure and it's a day-by-day practice.
"Clark said rehab is going well and she’ll be reevaluated over the weekend," SB Nation's Jacob Rude tweeted Thursday afternoon.
"She didn’t want to put a timetable on her return when asked if she could return on Tuesday. Said she’s taking it day by day and won’t rush her return."
While it's good news that she feels good and will be reevaluated soon, the answer is likely a disappointment for fans who are hoping to see Clark on the floor as soon as possible.
It's particularly disappointing for WNBA fans who were hoping to see Clark face Angel Reese's Sky on Saturday. A Tuesday return means Clark's first game back would be against the Dream.
Clark also told reporters she was injured during the team's game against the New York Liberty.
"Clark said the injury happened during the Liberty game," Rude added. "She didn’t know the moment it happened but said it was early in the game. After the game, she felt some pain and underwent an MRI that revealed the injury."
