Reigning Texas high school state football champion quarterback Miles Teodecki took the pressure off in regards to his future recently.

Teodecki, who led Vandergrift High School to a Class 6A Division 2 state title last year, committed to Kansas State to play football. The 6-foot-3 three-star prospect will be a senior in the fall.

As a junior at Vandergrift, which is located in Leander just outside of Austin, Teodecki completed 70 percent of his passes for almost 3,300 yards with 48 touchdowns. He was tabbed as the Texas 6A Division 2 offensive player of the year after throwing only seven interceptions.

During a 24-17 victory over Southlake Carroll in the state finals, Teodecki completed 14 of 17 for 248 yards with two touchdowns, earning offensive MVP honors. He also plays high school baseball for Vandegrift.

Chris Klieman and the Wildcat coaching staff have targeted Texas for the 2026 recruiting class, earning early verbal commits from four prospects within the state now. Kansas State has eight total commits, according to The Topeka-Captial Journal.

Teodecki held offers from schools such as Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Colorado State and Coastal Carolina, along with Ivy League programs Brown, Cornell, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale.

Avery Johnson will be a junior this fall and is slated to be the starting quarterback for the Wildcats. The depth chart also includes Jacob Knuth, Blake Barnett and Dillon Duff.
