Taitn Gray has helped position Dallas Center-Grimes baseball as one of the top programs in the state of Iowa. At the same time, he has put himself in a spot as one of the best players within not only the borders, but the country.

Gray, a senior for the Mustangs, will head to Phoenix, Arizona and Chase Field this week for the annual MLB Scouting Combine. He was formally invited to attend along with many of the top prospects for the upcoming MLB Draft.

The scouting combine will take place from June 17-21 with over 300 prospects set to attend. That includes 142 high school athletes, which Gray is part of.

There will be on-field workouts and a high school game that takes place during the combine. MLB Network will air several hours of the event.

Gray, a catcher, was recently named the Gatorade Iowa Baseball Player of the Year. Through 15 games this season with Dallas Center-Grimes, he is hitting .459 with seven home runs, three doubles, two triples, 22 RBI and 21 runs scored. He has been walked 17 times and hit twice while striking out just twice in 37 at-bats.

As a junior, Gray hit .538 with 14 homers, 39 RBI, 13 doubles and 37 runs scored. He is currently committed to the University of Oregon.

The 2025 MLB Draft takes place July 13-14 in Atlanta.
