Ohio finished off high school baseball season in style with an exciting OHSAA 2025 state championship weekend.

Five teams claimed their first ever state titles, including the victors of the top four divisions.

Here's a quick look at the sights, sounds, and scores from Ohio's state baseball finals.

DIVISION I: Olentangy 2, Springboro 1

The Braves are OHSAA state baseball champions for the first time ever after scoring two runs in the first inning and hanging on all game. Cameron Birch (five innings, one run) and Cooper Tracy (two scoreless innings) came up clutch in the tense pitchers' duel. Jacob Rhinehart and Dylan Brabston allowed no earned runs for Springboro despite the loss.

DIVISION II: Anthony Wayne 7, Steele 3

Anthony Wayne won its first state title as well after scoring at least one run in each of the first four innings to lead 7-2. Jackson Urenovitch got the win on the mound with two earned runs allowed in six innings, and Lucas Potkanowicz, Jett Smith, and Crue Carroll led a balanced offensive effort with two hits each.

DIVISION III: Licking Valley 1, University School 0

Of all the day's standout pitchers' duels, this was the pitchers' duel of pitchers' duels. Eli Roberts tossed a three-hit shutout for Licking Valley, and Crew Bellan was also sensational with no earned runs allowed despite the loss. Adam West scored the only run of the game in the fourth inning for the Preppers.

DIVISION IV: Lake Catholic 3, Perkins 2

Yet another program winning its first state title, Lake Catholic scored all three of its runs in the bottom of the fifth to fight back from an early 2-0 deficit. A.J. Trobenter went 2-3 with the two-run single that tied the game in the fifth inning in addition to a double.

DIVISION V: Waynedale 3, Graham Local 0

Logan Troyer pitched a complete game shutout for Waynedale, and Jayden Schlabach went 2-3 and scored a run. That makes three state crowns in four years for the Golden Bears.

DIVISION VI: Hiland 5, Lake Center Christian 4

Kaden Kandel led the charge on the mound with five scoreless innings in which he held Lake Center Christian two hits and no walks. After the Tigers rallied in the top of the sixth and seventh innings, Hiland scored its fourth and fifth runs in the bottom of the seventh with Logan Yoder hitting a walk-off single.

DIVISION VII: Minster 8, Newark Catholic 0

Minster is a state champion for the fourth time in less than 20 years, and it did it without any drama in the title game. The Wildcats put up five runs in the second inning, and Caleb Couse (five innings) and James Niemeyer (two innings) put together a dominant shutout on the mound.
