There's nothing like an early-season playoff rematch, and Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season features two. Adding to the excitement is that one of the matchups features the defending Super Bowl champs.

After meeting in the Divisional Round of last year's playoffs, the Chiefs and Jaguars will square off on Sunday. Kansas City is coming off of a one-point loss to Detroit on the first night of the season, while Jacksonville opened its season with a 10-point road win in Indianapolis a week ago.

The Chiefs, who opened the season on Thursday, Sept. 7, enter Week 2 with a slight rest advantage over their opponent. During the downtime, Kansas City has taken care of some business, resolving the contract situation of DT Chris Jones, who is expected to make his season debut after holding out of training camp and his team's Week 1 loss. The extended time off may prove to be enough to facilitate the return of Travis Kelce, who missed Kansas the Week 1 loss with a hyperextended knee.

Kelce's absence in Week 1 was evident, as Patrick Mahomes failed to get enough help from the Chiefs' receiving corps while his No. 1 target was out. Needless to say, Kelce's presence makes all the difference.

Trevor Lawrence, on the other hand, seems to have found his new No. 1 target in Week 1. Lawrence, who completed 24 of his 32 pass attempts, connected with Calvin Ridley eight times, resulting in 101 yards and a touchdown. Ridley showed no signs of rust after missing the entirety of the 2022 season due to a league-mandated suspension for gambling.

Jacksonville took care of business in Week 1 and now has an opportunity to make a statement with the defending champs visiting their home turf.

Here is everything you need to know in order to watch the Jaguars and Chiefs on Sunday.
