The Los Angeles Chargers will conclude Week 7 in the second half of a doubleheader against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night. The team has released its list of inactive players and it includes their star edge rusher, Joey Bosa.
Dealing with a hip injury sustained in Week 3 against Pittsburgh, Bosa will miss his third consecutive game. The team will also be without several wide receivers, which was a concern coming into the week.
Justin Herbert was able to get the passing game going last week against the Denver Broncos but will be without Quentin Johnston and Derius Davis for this game. It was also decided that D.J. Chark would not be activated from injured reserve, so the team is still waiting for him to make his debut this season. Tight end Hayden Hurst is also unavailable.
That will leave Herbert needing big plays from Joshua Palmer and Ladd McConkey. Rookie Brenden Rice could also get some action in this game.
But this looks like a classic game for the Chargers to use some ground and pound with J.K. Dobbins and perhaps rookie Kimani Vidal, who played for the first time last week.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 pm PT and the game will be televised exclusively on ESPN+.
