The Los Angeles Chargers are keeping a close eye on their wide receiver room and are looking at ways to ramp the passing game up after Justin Herbert had his best game this season throwing the ball in Week 6.

The Chargers have won this season with a strong rushing attack and a stingy defense, but Jim Harbaugh knows that adding a more threatening passing attack could make this team a strong contender. For the team to do that, some additions are needed at the wide receiver position.

The Chargers have decided to open the 21-day practice window for D.J. Chark, who has been on injured reserve all season.

The Chargers will have that three-week period to either place Chark on the active roster or put him back on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Chark, a former second-round pick in his eighth NFL season, has 212 career receptions. This is his first year with the Chargers.

But beyond that, the Chargers could be interested in a trade to bring back an old wide receiver.

Could Mike Williams be back in Los Angeles?

I recently discussed how a reunion with Mike Williams could make some sense for this team, but it seems there is a chance that it could actually happen, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

The New York Jets seem ready to turn the page on Williams already following a recent trade for Davante Adams and quarterback Aaron Rodgers blaming a late-game interception in the team's Monday night loss to Buffalo on Williams.

This would be an interesting move for the Chargers and one that wouldn't cost much. Williams was drafted in the first round of the 2017 draft by the Chargers. He made 309 receptions and scored 31 touchdowns for the team.
