A scary moment just occurred in the Detroit Lions versus Atlanta Falcons preseason game on Friday.

Lions defensive back Morice Norris suffered a scary injury after attempting to tackle a Falcons player. The young safety's head snapped back on the play and he didn't get up after the whistle was blown.

Thankfully, Norris was blinking before being placed in an ambulance, per the broadcast via Richard Silva of The Detroit News.

Due to Norris' frightening injury, the Lions and Falcons agreed to make an unprecedented decision. Instead of playing out the rest of the game, both teams ran out the clock and decided to end the game early.

The game was officially suspended as both teams were running out the clock.

"The Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions are running out the final 14 minutes of the game during prayer to honor Morice Norris after he had to be carted off the field," Anson Wells of the Woodward Sports Network said on X.

The Lions and Falcons running out the clock and coming together to pray for Norris shows incredible sportsmanship from both teams. Our prayers go out to Norris and his family.
