The Denver Broncos could have a huge present under the Christmas tree this December, but it could become a disaster once opened.

The NFL will release the full 2025 schedule on Wednesday, May 14th, and John Breech of CBS Sports sees the Broncos having a chance to play in one of the marquee games of the season. While making some predictions for this year's schedule, Breech has the Broncos playing in the nightcap on Christmas Day, a game that will be streamed on Amazon Prime.

Looking at the teams the Broncos will face in 2025, perhaps the most notable is that of the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Breech feels the Broncos and Eagles could clash on Christmas at Empower Field.

In addition, Breech feels there is a chance the Broncos could play on Thanksgiving as well.

The Eagles are going to be a tough opponent for anyone this coming season, so getting them late in the year could be important for the Broncos, as the team will have had time to build cohesion and consistency before facing the champs.

The Broncos and Eagles have played each other just 14 times in their history and the Eagles hold a 9-5 advantage in those games, including winning each of the last two. The Broncos have not beaten the Eagles since 2013.

The Broncos have played on Christmas four times in their history, holding a 2-2 record. The Eagles have played three times on the holiday and have never been beaten.

The last time the Broncos played on Christmas Day, they were pounded by the Los Angeles Rams 51-14. The very next day, the team fired head coach Nathaniel Hackett, making him just the fourth coach in NFL history to be fired before his first season as head coach was even complete.

In just a few days, fans will find out if this prediction comes true.
