The first minicamp of the offseason has opened for the Denver Broncos as rookies and tryout players reported to the team's facility on Friday. The minicamp will run through the weekend.

In addition to getting the first look at highly-drafted rookies Jahdae Barron and R.J. Harvey, the Broncos have brought in a healthy list of players looking to earn NFL contracts.

From veterans to young players who were left unsigned even after the undrafted free-agent process, here is a look at the players participating in minicamp for the Broncos.

It was originally reported that former third-round pick Desmond Ridder would be attending on a tryout basis, but he backed out of it and the Broncos contacted Ian Book, a player who has played under Sean Payton before.

Book, a fourth-round pick in 2021, has played for the Saints, Eagles, Patriots and Chiefs but has attempted just 20 passes in his NFL career.

The list of tryout players also includes seven players from the state of Colorado. Those who sit on one side or the other of the "Rocky Mountain Showdown" between Colorado and Colorado State may recognize the name Henry Blackburn, as he was the one who injured Colorado wide receiver Travis Hunter with this hit, leading to a lacerated liver for Hunter.

This led to some physical threats against Blackburn on social media, but he and Hunter made up in a great show of true sportsmanship.

Can any of these players earn a contract?
