It was surprising that Penn State was able to retain many of its players on the roster heading into next season.

Penn State, led by Drew Allar, Nicholas Singleton, and many others, did the best job in the country of retaining talent. For that reason alone, many believe Penn State is the favorite to win it all next year.

Of course, the Nittany Lions will have to prove that, but on the back of Singleton and others, they should be in a decent position.

Regarding Singleton, this is a massive year coming up for the tough running back. Some believe that he could be as high as a first-round pick, which isn't common for a running back. The most recent one to believe that was Sharp Football Analysis, which recently linked him to the 14th overall pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“There is no Ashton Jeanty in next year's draft class, but the 220-pound Singleton might be close with his blend of size and speed. His 41 receptions last year also proved he could be a factor in the passing game,” they wrote.

The Steelers allowed Najee Harris to walk this past offseason, so they could be searching for a long-term answer at the running back position during the draft next year.

Singleton at No. 14 seems a bit much, but that's only because of the lack of value that the running back position has at this stage.

However, if he has another great year, there will likely be many teams interested in taking him around the first to second round.

The Steelers, who know that Singleton can play in the cold weather, given what he's done throughout his Penn State Career, could be a decent fit.
