Good things come to those who wait, and Micah Parsons, the former Penn State standout, might find that out.
Parsons, who is still waiting on an extension, will likely only be more expensive once other deals around the league get done. Trey Hendrickson, T.J. Watt, and others are still looking for new deals.
If they sign before Parsons, there's a good chance all of those players will make his contract even higher.
And according to USA Today, Parsons isn't too worried about what the Dallas Cowboys do. He even understands that if the Cowboys don't give him the money he's looking for now and those other two players sign their deals, he'll only be in for a bigger payday.
“Despite Parsons' optimism, his representation hadn't yet had any contract extension talks with Jones at the time of his comments, per USA TODAY's Tyler Dragon.
“Still, neither side was concerned with the pace of negotiations. Parsons even acknowledged he could potentially benefit from waiting until players like T.J. Watt or Trey Hendrickson eventually sign their big-money deals,” they wrote.

For the Penn State star, all he can hope for is that the deal gets done before the start of the year.
The last thing Parsons should do is go out there and potentially get injured.
Of course, he has a commitment to the Cowboys and the fan base, but at the end of the day, he has to watch out for himself.
If Dallas isn't willing to give him the money he's looking for, it's tough to blame him.
Parsons has undoubtedly been one of the better players in the NFL since making his debut years ago, and it's now time to pay him.
