The Boston Red Sox have been an interesting team to watch this season. They are just two games over the .500 mark at 39-37, but they also are in control of the third American League Wild Card spot.
But what they'll do at the trade deadline is unclear. They recently traded Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants.
In return, Boston received pitchers Jordan Hicks and Kyle Harrison.
Boston could sell, and if they do, Walker Buehler is an ideal trade candidate. Colin Keane of Sports Illustrated proposed the idea of Boston sending him to their hated rivals, the New York Yankees.
"With reports indicating that the Red Sox might trade Buehler before the deadline, here's an idea: Why not send the struggling two-time All-Star to a bitter rival?" Keane wrote.

Trades between archrivals are exceptionally rare, which makes this potential move a bit of a stretch. However, it's not impossible.
Not long ago, the Yankees acquired Alex Verdugo from the Red Sox for a few pitchers.
The Bronx Bombers have dealt with several pitching injuries this season, so it wouldn't hurt for them to try and add another starter.
As for the Red Sox, Buehler has struggled this year, going 5-5 with a 5.95 ERA in his 12 starts. He does have a strong postseason track record, and even closed out the World Series last fall against the Yankees while he was still a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Red Sox could still bring back a decent prospect or two, as Buehler was signed to a one-year deal, and rental pitching is always at a premium.
Still, it will be interesting to see what Boston decides to do at the deadline.
