Dixie (UT) girls basketball is moving on up.
The Flyers went 16-11 against a solid schedule last season after just one winning season in their previous five, and they look primed to build on that success.
Despite graduating a few key seniors, Dixie was comprised mostly of underclassmen last season, and its returners for 2025-26 blew the roof off last weekend (June 13-14) at Section 7 to win a title in the MiCamp Solutions bracket. They won 47-29 against Nogales (CA), routed Payson (AZ) 51-21, and beat Catalina Foothills (AZ) 43-32 before edging out Prescott (AZ) 51-49 in the finals.

Last season, freshman (now rising sophomore) Izzy Hollingshead lead Dixie with 12.5 PPG, 1.7 SPG, and 54 made threes, and the majority of the reigning 4A state semifinalists were underclassmen as well. Namely rising senior Hayden Stilson, rising sophomore Addison Winters, rising sophomore Jerzi Bundy, and rising junior Audri Orton. The only team to beat Dixie in the playoffs was undefeated eventual champion Ridgeline – the No. 25 team in the country. The Flyers have a couple big holes to fill, but if Section 7 was any indication, look for them to take another leap in the right direction in 2025-26.
