Sierra Canyon boys basketball has won no shortage of championships of many kinds throughout the last decade or so.
Maximo Adams made sure the Trailblazers picked up another one before the 2025-26 season even started.
The 4-star senior small forward led the way as the reigning CIF Division I state champions more or less rampaged their way to a Section 7 title in the Carolyn and Todd Delano bracket.

Sierra Canyon's results went in about the opposite order one would expect for a four-game bracket. The Trailblazers narrowly survived Higley (AZ) in round one, winning 76-71, before beating De La Salle (CA) 46-36 and then blowing out Long Beach Poly (CA) by 30 points and Central (Phoenix, AZ) by 32.
The real excitement from the weekend came against Higley, as Adams turned in arguably the top performance of the weekend to make sure Sierra Canyon avoided a first round upset. He exploded for 42 points and 25 rebounds with countless Division I scouts looking on. Adams picked up offers from Kansas and Washington before the event was even over and has since announced offers from Syracuse and UNLV, plus his first official visit to USC.
