Patrick Mahomes, Caitlin Clark, Travis Kelce and more show subtle support to Taylor Swift following her big news image

Friday, May 30, was a big day for music icon Taylor Swift and all of her fans and supporters. In a post that has since received more than 8.4 million likes on Instagram, Swift announced that she bought back her masters and once again owns all of her music. Now, many of her fans, friends, and fellow celebrities are showing their support.

In 2019, Swift lost ownership of the original versions of her wildly popular past albums when record executive Scooter Braun purchased the masters for a whopping $300 million. What followed was an intense controversy as Swift alleged this was done without her permission.

Swift would later re-record and re-release several of those albums, calling them “Taylor’s Version.” Now, however, the original versions are hers for good.

Swist posted a photo of her sitting on the floor with six of her past albums splayed out in front of her.

“You belong with me,” she titled the post, directing fans to a link that led to a picture of a lengthy handwritten letter. In this letter, she discussed the process she went through to reclaim ownership of her work.

“The passionate support you showed those albums and the success story you turned The Eras Tour into is why I was able to buy back my music,” she wrote. “I can’t thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but have never owned until now.”

Many celebrities shared their support by liking the post, including Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce, his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, and basketball legend Caitlin Clark.
