Wednesday, May 28, was a bittersweet day for Alix Earle and her boyfriend, NFL star Braxton Berrios. Earle and Berrios had to say goodbye to their beloved foster dog True after he finally found his forever home.
Earle and Braxton have been fostering True for the last two months while taking fans along for the journey. They welcomed him into their home after learning that he had been in a Miami shelter for more than a year and was expected to soon be put down.
The couple ended up quickly falling in love with the dog and wanted to be sure they found him a family that would be the right match for him. They accomplished that earlier this week, Earle revealed to fans in a video she shared on her Instagram.
Earle revealed that True has headed to his forever home in Tennessee. PetSmart will be sponsoring his travels and providing a year's worth of food.
“True in his forever home 🥹👏🏻 thank you @petsmart for getting him to Tennessee,” she captioned the post.
While Earle emphasized that she was happy that True found a home where he would be loved and well cared for, she and Berrios will miss having him around.
“Gonna miss True boy,” Berrios commented on the post.
“This made my day 😍 happy tails for true!!,” one fan commented.
“Thank you for saving him ❤️👏,” wrote another.
