‘She’s my lucky charm’: Rohit Sharma on Ritika’s role during high-pressure matches image

Rohit Sharma has been a part of many high-pressure matches, be it for the Indian national team or the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The former Indian Test captain has emerged to be a serial winner in most of those games, which is a testament to his self-belief and immense courage.

As a captain, Rohit has won almost everything there is to be won with both the national team and his IPL franchise, except the 50-over World Cup and the World Test Championship (WTC).

Although he might get a shot at winning the ODI World Cup in 2027, there's no chance of him winning the latter due to his abrupt retirement from the longest format in May.

Amidst all the ups and downs in his career, one person seems to have been the constant in his life - his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, whom he considers his lucky charm.

Rohit Sharma reveal's Ritika's role in high-pressure matches

The Indian skipper, along with his wife, recently appeared in Who's The Boss?, a talk show hosted by the former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and his wife, Geeta Basra, on YouTube. Rohit revealed that it was Ritika who kept him calm and provided him the motivation to come out on top in high-pressure matches. Check out the tweet below:

Rohit revealed that he has asked Ritika innumerable times about how she keeps her calm every time she is in the stands during a high-pressure situation in a match.

"I asked Ritika so many times, how do you manage this because it's incredibly tough to sit like that through the entire match with that finger."

He further mentioned that Ritika has always been deeply involved in his game by being his biggest supporter and even went on to call her his lucky charm.

"She's deeply involved in my game, she wants me to do well, she's my lucky charm, she's my biggest supporter."

Ritika has been spotted in the stands in almost every game when Rohit has featured, proving his words right. She has been a constant source of support for the Indian talisman, as Rohit was once spotted dedicating a century to her by kissing the wedding ring on his index finger after an important ton against Sri Lanka back in 2017.
