On July 22, Australia scripted history with their fastest-ever T20I run-chase in targets over 170 with a thumping win over the West Indies in Kingston to seal the three-match series.

Days after chasing 190 runs at the same venue, Australia asked the hosts to bat first in the 2nd T20I of the series and restricted them to 172 runs in Andre Russell's farewell match.

After losing the openers inside the powerplay, wicketkeeper Josh Inglis and Cameron Green went all guns blazing and added 131 runs for the third wicket in just 59 balls.

Both batters were dropped at different stages of the innings, but they made sure to take full advantage of the sloppy WI fielding and got to the target in just 15.2 overs.

Inglis scored the Player of the Match winning 78*(33) with five sixes and 7 fours, while Cameron Green scored 56*(32) with four sixes and three fours.

In this article, TSN takes a look at the fastest run-chases by Australia in T20I cricket.
