Retired England all-rounder Moeen Ali was given a tough choice to pick his favourite match-winner during a chat on the Beard Before Wicket podcast.
Ali, along with ex-England team-mate Adil Rashid, answered a bunch of questions, although the star spin duo found it difficult to make a pick when they were questioned, who would they rather have in their team, South Africa icon AB de Villiers or star Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.
Bumrah is widely regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers to have ever graced the game across all formats. He is arguably India's finest match-winner in recent years, as he possesses the quality to single-handedly change the complexion of a game.

His recent outing with the Indian national team was the five-Test tour of England. Bumrah played in three out of the five Tests due to workload management, but despite missing two games, he ended up picking four wickets in the series, including two fifers.
AB de Villiers, on the other hand, is widely considered a modern-day great in world cricket with close to 10,000 runs in both ODI and Test formats for the Proteas.

ABD or Bumrah? Moeen Ali picks his favourite match-winner
Ali did fumble for a bit when he was asked to pick between De Villiers and Bumrah, but he later opted to name the India star over the South Africa legend.
He said, "I think bowlers win tournaments and games, a lot more than batters. But then it is AB de Villiers. But I would go with Bumrah."
Ali was then asked if he would pick any batter over Bumrah, to which the Englishman replied: "If I can't have AB, there's no batter that's coming on top of that."

What next for Jasprit Bumrah?
Bumrah is expected to miss the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, which will be hosted by UAE in the T20 format. The fast bowler will enjoy a much-needed rest and work on regaining full fitness before returning for India during their back-to-back home Test series against West Indies and South Africa.
