Tui Kamikamica’s long Melbourne Storm career could be nearing its end, with the Brisbane Broncos reportedly circling the Fijian international for a 2026 move.
The 29-year-old prop has a club option for next season, but with Melbourne’s salary cap stretched and the club keen to blood younger forwards, Kamikamica’s time in Victoria may be up after nearly a decade and over 120 NRL appearances.
Broncos eye experience to plug middle gaps
According to News Corp, Brisbane coach Michael Maguire has made inquiries about Kamikamica’s availability, keen to bolster the Broncos’ middle forward stocks.

With 14 players off-contract and no new signings yet confirmed for 2026, the club is flush with roster space and potentially more minutes for Kamikamica, who has often played a supporting role behind bigger names at the Storm.
There’s no shortage of interest. South Sydney were reportedly close to sealing a deal for the 18-Test Fiji international just six weeks ago before their salary cap issues forced them to back away.
Kamikamica’s current club may still opt to retain him, but Melbourne are also focused on youth, with Alec MacDonald re-signed and Lazarus Vaalepu waiting in the wings.

Meanwhile, a reshuffled rotation featuring Nelson Asofa-Solomona and Josh King could make it even harder for Kamikamica to lock in consistent minutes.
If he heads north, he could be the veteran partner Payne Haas needs in a Broncos engine room that’s likely to lose Corey Jensen, Jaiyden Hunt or Kobe Hetherington.
