NRL injury list 2025: Your club’s medical news, casualty ward, player return dates

There are just three weeks remaining of the regular season and injuries are continuing to bite some clubs.

The Dolphins and South Sydney have been the teams that have been hardest hit throughout the season, while St George Illawarra is also battling a horror injury toll. 

Selwyn Cobbo, Ezra Mam and Adam Reynolds all suffered hamstring issues recently, while Latrell Mitchell was struck down by a back issue. 

However, it's not all bad news on the injury front in the NRL, with New Zealand welcoming back several stars in Round 25. 

The Sporting News provides the latest injury updates for every NRL outfit for the 2025 campaign.

Brisbane Broncos 

Broncos injury news:

Jack Gosiewski suffered a collarbone injury during his side's Round 24 clash with the Dolphins and there are early fears he could miss the remainder of the season. 

Adam Reynolds suffered a hamstring injury during the first half of his side's Round 23 loss to the Storm. The halfback is set to miss a month of action. 

Xavier Willison suffered a fractured forearm while attempting to make a tackle during his side's clash with the Bunnies in Round 22. He is expected to be sidelined for up to two months.

Ezra Mam followed Adam Reynolds down the tunnel as he also suffered a hamstring injury while attempting to chase down Xavier Coates. The playmaker will only return deep into the finals. 

Selwyn Cobbo was the third Brisbane player to sustain a hamstring injury during the club's loss to the Storm in Round 23. He could have played his last game in Broncos colours. 

Brendan Piakura was a late withdrawal from his side's Round 22 clash after suffering a head knock in training. He remains sidelined indefinitely. 

Hayze Perham ruptured his ACL during his side's first trial match and will be sidelined for the entire season. 

Canberra Raiders

Raiders injury news:

Matty Nicholson suffered a syndesmosis injury and a fractured fibula in the closing stages of his side's loss to the Dogs in Round 10. He is reportedly nearing a return. 

Savelio Tamale left the field with a dislocated patella in the first half of his side's Round 14 clash with the Rabbitohs. After almost three months on the sidelines, the young gun is nearing a comeback. 

Albert Hopoate suffered an ACL tear in Round 4 of the NSW Cup and will miss the rest of the season. 

Canterbury Bulldogs

Bulldogs injury news:

Sitili Tupouniua suffered a hamstring injury in Round 20, but is closing in on a return to action after being included in the extended squad this week. 

Marcelo Montoya was sidelined after suffering a neck issue for the past month, but is now almost ready to return. 

Cronulla Sharks

Sharks injury news:

Oregon Kaufusi was ruled out ahead of his side's Round 23 match against the Dragons due to a calf injury and remains sidelined. 

KL Iro left the field in Round 14 with a pectoral injury that will keep him on the sidelines until the final few games of the regular season. 

Briton Nikora has been issued with a three-match ban for a high tackle during his side's loss to the Dragons in Round 23. He will only be available again in the first week of the finals. 

Jesse Ramien suffered a broken thumb during his side's loss to the Dragons in Round 23. He will miss between four and six weeks. 

Cameron McInnes was taken from the field during his side's Round 24 victory over the Titans with a knee injury. It has since been confirmed the forward suffered an ACL injury. 

Kade Dykes ruptured his patella tendon while playing in the NSW Cup in Round 8 and will miss the rest of the campaign. 

Liam Ison suffered a confirmed ACL rupture while playing in the opening round of the NSW Cup. He will miss the rest of the season.

Dolphins

Dolphins injury news:

Francis Molo has served a one-match ban for a high shot during his side's loss to the Roosters in Round 23. 

Felise Kaufusi has served a two-game ban for dangerous contact that resulted in Jacob Laban suffering a broken leg in Round 22. 

Herbie Farnworth suffered a hamstring injury during the first half of his side's Round 22 clash against the Warriors. The English international has since been ruled out for between four and six weeks. 

Tom Flegler played just four games during his first year at the Dolphins in 2024 due to a serious shoulder issue. The prop has since revealed he is hoping to return to action at the start of next season. 

Jack Bostock suffered a season-ending ACL injury against the Knights in Round 16 in a bitter blow. 

Max Plath returned from a foot injury in Round 14, however he didn't last long with the luckless forward suffering an ACL injury that will sideline him for the rest of the campaign. 

Tom Gilbert suffered another injury on the eve of the Origin opener as the Phins' captain sustained a ruptured pec in Round 11. He will not return this season.  

Daniel Saifiti suffered a shoulder issue during his side's loss to the Raiders in Round 8 and despite initially being expected to return, he suffered a setback in his rehab and has since been ruled out for the year. 

Gold Coast Titans

Titans injury news:  

Klese Haas was a late withdrawal from his side's Round 24 match due to personal reasons, but he is back on deck this week. 

Jojo Fifita dropped out of his side's Round 24 clash after succumbing to an ankle complaint. However, he is back this week. 

Brian Kelly failed a HIA during Gold Coast's Round 23 loss to the Bunnies but will return this week.  

Jaimin Jolliffe has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after he suffered a PCL injury in Round 24. 

David Fifita picked up another ankle issue in Round 20 and will not play again this season. 

Alofiana Khan-Pereira suffered a hamstring injury during his side's loss to the Rabbitohs in Round 23. The winger will miss the rest of the campaign. 

Brock Gray suffered an ACL tear during his side's Round 8 meeting with the Cowboys and will miss the rest of the season. 

Manly Sea Eagles

Sea Eagles injury news: 

Taniela Paseka suffered a ruptured Achilles during his side's Round 3 win over the Raiders. After undergoing surgery, the prop is hoping to return in the last weeks of the regular season. 

Nathan Brown suffered an injury during his side's win over the Tigers in Round 17 and will be sidelined until finals time after requiring surgery to repair a ruptured biceps tendon. 

Jake Trbojevic was taken from the field in concerning scenes for the prop during his side's Round 23 loss after he copped another head knock. He has been sidelined indefinitely due to repeated head knocks. 

Lachlan Croker was initially scheduled to return in Round 22 after suffering from concussion symptoms.  However, he remains sidelined. 

Josh Aloiai hurt his shoulder midway through the first half of their Round 13 match against the Broncos and remains sidelined indefinitely. 

Reuben Garrick left the field with a shoulder injury midway through the first half in his side's clash against the Tigers in Round 24. He has since been ruled out for the rest of the season. 

Haumole Olakau'atu suffered a dislocated shoulder while attempting to tackle Viliame Kikau during his side's loss to the Bulldogs in Round 21. The backrower will miss the remainder of the campaign. 

Melbourne Storm

Storm injury news:

Shawn Blore was sidelined ahead of his side's Round 25 clash against the Dogs due to an ankle issue. 

Ryan Papenhuyzen was ruled out of his side's Round 24 blockbuster against the Panthers after copping a head knock the week before. He has been included in the extended squad this week. 

Will Warbrick has missed an extended period of the season due to concussion issues but has been scheduled to finally return to the fold in Round 26.

Jack Howarth was ruled out ahead of his side's Round 23 clash against the Broncos after suffering a groin issue. The centre is now nearing a return.  

Sua Faalogo suffered a hamstring injury at the end of their Round 17 match against the Sharks. The 22-year-old was ruled out for between two to three months. 

Jahrome Hughes suffered a dislocated shoulder during his side's comeback victory over the Roosters. However, he does not require surgery and is expected to return for the finals in a major boost for the Storm. 

Dean Ieremia ruptured his Achilles in pre-season training and remains sidelined indefinitely. 

Newcastle Knights

Knights injury news:

Phoenix Crossland was ruled out of his side's loss to Penrith in Round 23 at half time after failing his HIA. He has been named to return this week. 

Adam Elliott suffered a biceps injury in the first half of the game against the Panthers in Round 12. He will not return until the final few games of the regular season. 

Dylan Lucas limped from the field in Round 19 after suffering a foot injury, with initial fears he will miss the remainder of the season. 

Kalyn Ponga was taken off midway through the second half of Newcastle's clash against Canberra in Round 17, with scans later confirming a Lisfranc injury. He is expected to be out for the rest of the campaign. 

Fletcher Sharpe suffered a lacerated kidney in Round 16 and was hospitalised in Perth. He will miss the rest of the campaign. 

New Zealand Warriors

Warriors injury news:

Te Maire Martin copped a head knock during his side's loss to the Bulldogs in Round 23, while Kurt Capewell also suffered a concussion. The duo have been named to return this week. 

Rocco Berry was taken from the field with a shoulder issue as his terrible run with injuries continued in Round 19. The centre has been named to make his return in Round 25. 

Jackson Ford copped a three-game ban for a crusher tackle in Round 24 that will see him miss the rest of the regular season. He will be available again in the first week of finals. 

Jacob Laban suffered a broken leg after being the victim of a dangerous tackle from Felise Kaufusi during his side's Round 22 loss to the Phins. 

Luke Metcalf ruptured his ACL after being crunched in a tackle in Round 17 and will miss the rest of the season in a major blow. 

Mitchell Barnett suffered a devastating ACL injury while backing up after Origin I which has seen him ruled out for the rest of the campaign. 

Tohu Harris played just 14 matches in 2024 after struggling with a wrist injury and in a major shock has been unable to recover from the issue. He announced his retirement just two months out from the start of the season. 

North Queensland Cowboys

Cowboys injury news:

Murray Taulagi limped from the field with a hamstring issue during his side's heavy loss to the Dolphins in Round 20. He is now nearing a return. 

Coen Hess will not play again this season after the forward copped a three-game ban for a dangerous tackle during his side's Round 23 loss to the Eels. 

Griffin Neame has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a shoulder injury in Round 22. 

Robert Derby has been sidelined for the rest of the campaign after suffering a knee injury in Round 22. 

Heilum Luki will miss the entirety of the campaign after suffering an ACL injury in pre-season. 

Tom Chester will be sidelined until 2026 after suffering an ACL rupture in the pre-season. 

Parramatta Eels

Eels injury news:

Sean Russell will be sidelined for a month after succumbing to a hand injury, with his return date set for the final round of the regular season. 

Kitione Kautoga suffered a syndesmosis injury during the first half of his side's Round 19 clash against the Panthers. He could return in the final round of the regular season. 

Sam Tuivaiti suffered a knee issue during Parra's narrow loss to the Storm in Round 22 and will sit out the rest of the campaign. 

Shaun Lane announced his retirement one month out from the end of the regular season after previously taking a break away from the game to decide on his future. 

Penrith Panthers

Panthers injury news:

Isaah Yeo suffered a shoulder issue during his side's win over the Titans in Round 22. After missing the past two matches, the lock could return this week after being included in the extended squad. 

Luron Patea sustained a collarbone injury in Round 22 and has been ruled out indefinitely. 

South Sydney Rabbitohs

Rabbitohs injury news:

Bayleigh Bentley-Hape sustained a category one head knock against the Eels in Round 24 and will miss at least one match. 

Latrell Mitchell was ruled out of Round 24 after succumbing to a back issue in training. He remains sidelined this week. 

Lachlan Hubner suffered a head knock during his side's win over the Titans in Round 23. The forward will return in Round 25. 

Keaon Koloamatangi limped from the field with an ankle injury during his side's loss to the Panthers in Round 20 and was diagnosed with a syndesmosis injury. Remarkably, he will return this week. 

Mikaele Ravalawa suffered a serious hamstring strain earlier in the season which sidelined him for an extended period. He then picked up a pectoral injury that will keep him out until Round 27. 

Jack Wighton has been issued with a four-game ban after unsuccessfully challenging a shoulder charge at the judiciary. He will return for the final game of the regular season. 

Euan Aitken has suffered a hamstring injury and is sidelined indefinitely ahead of the final month or so of the season. 

Ryan Gray lasted just 10 minutes of his side's clash against the Broncos in Round 22 after suffering a shoulder issue and has been sidelined indefinitely. 

Jayden Sullivan sustained a lower limb fracture and associated ankle injury during a heavy loss to the Newtown Jets. 

Cameron Murray ruptured his Achilles at pre-season training but could return in the final round of the regular season. 

Campbell Graham was sidelined with a back issue ahead of Round 20 and he has since been ruled out for the rest of the year.  

Tevita Tatola suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder during his side's loss to the Sharks in Round 21. 

Davvy Moale saw his season ended after Round 18 due to a troublesome wrist issue that required surgery.  

St George Illawarra Dragons

Dragons injury news:

Jack de Belin and Hamish Stewart were involved in a sickening head clash with each other during their side's Round 24 match against the Warriors. The latter is not expected to return for the rest of the season. 

Hame Sele then joined his two teammates in leaving the match after also copping a head knock. 

Michael Molo was forced to withdraw from his side's clash against the Sharks in Round 23 due to an ankle injury. He is now nearing a return to action.  

Jaydn Su'A suffered a knee injury during his side's loss to the Cowboys in Round 21, but is expected to return in Round 26. 

Moses Suli failed to finish the game against Cronulla in Round 23 after he suffered a knee issue. He is expected to miss a month of action. 

Sione Finau suffered a dislocated shoulder during his side's loss to the Dogs in Round 20 and has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign. 

Valentine Holmes has been ruled out for the rest of the campain after suffering a shoulder injury during his side's loss to the Roosters in Round 19. 

Toby Couchman dislocated his right shoulder in Round 17 and he will miss the rest of the campaign. 

Dylan Egan suffered an ACL injury during his side's win over the Broncos in Round 11 and will miss the rest of the campaign. 

Ryan Couchman suffered an ACL rupture in Round 1 which has ruled him out for the season. 

Tom Eisenhuth announced his retirement from the game midway through the season. 

Sydney Roosters

Roosters injury news:

Daniel Tupou has been sidelined after suffering with concussion symptoms following his side's win in Round 24. 

Siua Wong suffered a category one head knock against the Dolphins and was ruled out for the rest of the match. The backrower will return for the Chooks this week. 

Nat Butcher has endured an injury plagued campaign that looks like it is set to end on a sour note after he was injured while appearing in the NSW Cup in Round 22 during his return from an MCL injury. 

Wests Tigers

Tigers injury news:

Starford To'a injured his shoulder against the Sea Eagles during his side's Round 24 win. However, despite being taken off, he has been named to start this week. 

Alex Seyfarth has been issued with a three-game ban for a high tackle during his side's shock win over the Dogs in Round 22. 

Justin Olam was forced into early retirement after failing to recover from a knee injury he suffered last season.
