The Gold Coast Titans have moved to secure the future of one their most promising up-and-comers, with Jaylan De Groot re-signing with the club until at least the end of 2027.
The 22-year-old has proved his versatility, having played nine NRL matches and filling in at multiple positions in the Titans backline.
In 2025, he's predominantly played fullback after the incumbent Keano Kini sustained a neck injury, putting him on the sidelines until at least round 22.

In a statement released on Thursday, De Groot expressed his commitment to the club and his desire to build a premiership winner on the Gold Coast.
"What we're building here at the Titans is something I want to be part of," he said.
"To be able to stay home with my family and my partner and grow on the success we want to achieve here is why I wanted to extend my time here at the club.
"This is my home. I've grown up here, lived here my whole life and watched the Titans play since I can remember, always in the grandstands at Cbus Super Stadium with my mum watching heaps of Titans games.
"I just absolutely love it here and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

De Groot is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but with the Titans recent form and uncertainty in the spine, he is in the frame to get the number one jersey back upon his return.
