Storm coach Craig Bellamy is confident a "red-hot" Ryan Papenhuyzen "won't let anyone down" if he is picked for New South Wales.
With the State of Origin opener just weeks away, Blues coach Laurie Daley has some key selection decisions to make, notably at fullback.
Dylan Edwards was favoured in the No. 1 jersey last year, but veteran James Tedesco has put himself back in the frame with some stellar recent performances.
While the aforementioned pair are widely considered the strongest two options, Papenhuyzen's four-try blitz against the Tigers was a perfect reminder of his skillset.

The 26-year-old currently has the most tries of any player in the NRL this season, having scored 12 in nine matches.
On top of this, he averages 153 run metres and boasts an 87 per cent tackle efficiency.
His showing on Sunday – which showcased his exceptional support play and rapid speed – has sprung him into Origin conversation.
Papenhuyzen's coach admits there is an abundance of fullback talent in the league, but backs his No. 1 to perform in the representative arena if given the chance.
"He was outstanding, I can’t remember too many players scoring three tries in that quick succession of time, especially at the start of the game," Bellamy, who is a Blues advisor, said.
"He was certainly on the ball today and got some real rewards for himself and the team.
"That’s something for the selectors to decide, but at the end of the day, he’s never going to let anyone down, without a doubt.
"But having said that, there’s a lot of good fullbacks around and there probably has been for the last 20 years in Origin for both teams to be quite honest.
"It will be interesting because he’s in red-hot form at the moment. So if NSW decides to go that way, he won’t let anyone down."

With NSW to announce their team for Game 1 after Round 11, Papenhuyzen will have one more opportunity to audition for a potential gig with the Blues.
Even if he doesn't earn a shot at fullback, Bellamy feels he would be a strong candidate for a bench utility role.
"I think so if you look at him in that role [as a No. 14]," he said.
"Usually these days that fourth bench player can play dummy-half and then probably in the halves a little bit as well, so I think he could do that well if he had to.
"At the end of the day, it’ll be up to the selectors on what they think, but if he did get picked, whatever role they’d like him to play, he’s not going to let them down or let himself down."
