The Origin opener is done and dusted, which means it's time to return to NRL action.

Most Maroons and Blues stars are expected to back up for their club sides, although late changes cannot be ruled out.

The Sporting News delivers its predictions and best bets for select Round 13 matches in the NRL — all odds per bookmaker Sportsbet.

Dragons vs. Knights prediction, tip, best bet

Despite this clash taking place 48 hours after Game 1, each team's Origin representatives are currently slated to back up.

Valentine Holmes has been named in the centres for the Dragons, while Kalyn Ponga is in line to play fullback for the Knights.

Newcastle were impressive last week against an undermanned Panthers side, although their consistency this year has been a concern. Can they claim consecutive wins for the first time since Round 2?

The Dragons, theoretically, should be fresher after a week off. They also have a superior backline, which will likely be enough to get them the win at home.

Prediction: Dragons by 4

Best bet: Dragons 1-12 ($2.85)

Titans vs. Storm prediction, tip, best bet

In a boost to the Titans' forward pack, Moeaki Fotuaika, Beau Fermor and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui are all set to play, although the latter was battered and bruised in the opener.

There are also question marks surrounding Storm captain Harry Grant, who endured a rough Game 1 and potentially lacks some match fitness. The remainder of Melbourne's Origin crew are likely to back up, though.

It's probably best not to overthink this match.

Gold Coast have been underwhelming this season, and Craig Bellamy rarely lets his side lose two games in a row.

The Storm have the tools to get out to a first start and take the two competition points.

Prediction: Storm by 16

Best bet: Storm over 15.5 first-half points ($1.89)

Sea Eagles vs. Broncos prediction, tip, best bet

This should be an intriguing clash.

Both sides have squads with the quality to push for a premiership, but have fallen somewhat flat as we approach the midway point of the season.

The Broncos (8th) and Sea Eagles (9th) both have five wins and six losses to their name in 2025, and know that improvement is required.

Lehi Hopoate will have his hands full for Manly as he replaces the injured Tom Trbojevic at fullback.

Brisbane, meanwhile, have no absentees, which makes them a more reliable pick.

Both teams possess some speedy and tough backs, so expect plenty of points.

Prediction: Broncos by 4

Best bet: Over 46.5 match points ($1.92)

Roosters vs. Raiders prediction, tip, best bet

The round will conclude with a tasty match-up in Sydney.

The Roosters have found their groove in recent weeks and face a tough challenge against the second-placed Raiders on Sunday.

Canberra had to be gritty last week to snare a win against the Warriors in New Zealand, so they will enter this clash with confidence.

However, in what should be a dry evening at Moore Park, it is set up nicely for the Tricolours to thrive in attack.

It shouldn't be a big margin either way, but the Roosters should have the firepower needed to get the chocolates.

Prediction: Roosters by 6

Best bet: Roosters to win ($1.93)
