Dominic Young is about to make his Knights return official, with the winger's Roosters exit confirmed on Monday morning.

The English talent joined the Tricolours in 2024 but dropped down the pecking order this season.

He is now set to reunite with his former club, Newcastle.

Young's move to the Hunter, oddly enough, is taking place days after the Roosters and Knights faced off in Round 15.

He reportedly packed up his belongings and dropped them off at Knights’ player Kai Pearce-Paul’s house before lining up at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday.

The Tricolours won that scrappy contest 12-8.

"Dom is a talented athlete and a great person," Roosters head of recruitment, Daniel Anderson, said.

"We thank Dom for his contributions to the Roosters and wish him all the best for the future."

The 23-year-old was on a reported $500,000-a-season contract in Bondi.

He has inked a deal with Newcastle through to the end of 2027, per News Corp.

Young made his NRL debut with the Knights in 2021, going on to score 43 tries in 51 games.

He racked up 26 tries in 31 games with the Chooks.

There will be some competition when he returns to Newcastle, with Greg Marzhew and James Schiller currently occupying the wing spots.
