The Brisbane Broncos have officially locked in two of the club’s biggest names on new deals—whilst also extending one of their brightest young stars.
However the future of out-of-favour Selwyn Cobbo now seems even less certain.
Following weeks of speculation, including a big money approach from the Wests Tigers, Club Captain Adam Reynolds has confirmed he will remain in the River City and play on in 2026.
The 34-year-old veteran, who recently celebrated his 300th NRL game, has signed a one-year extension that will see him finish his NRL playing career as a Bronco, after playing this first 231 NRL games with South Sydney.

“The Club and city have welcomed me and my family with open arms, family means everything to me and this is home,” Reynolds said.
“We are really building something special here and I want to be a part of that moving forward.”
Fellow representative back, Kotoni Staggs, has inked a new three-year deal that will keep him in maroon and gold until at least 2028.
Meanwhile highly-touted hooker Blake Mozer—who joined the Broncos junior development program as a 13-year-old—has also extended his current contract for a further two years.
Mozer, 21, made his NRL debut in the final round of the 2023 season before featuring in eight games in 2024 under former coach, Kevin Walters.
He is yet to see NRL match time under Michael Maguire and has spent the bulk of 2025 playing Hostplus Cup with the Souths Logan Magpies.
Whilst exciting news for the Broncos and their success-hungry fans, today’s announcements suggest the chances of retaining outside back, Selwyn Cobbo, are getting slimmer by the day.
As reported earlier this week, Cobbo remains unsigned beyond 2025.
