Summer vacation is over. With several WWE superstars ending their hiatus', there's been a huge shakeup in the pound for pound rankings for August. In recent weeks, the brands have seen the in-ring returns of Rhea Ripley, Gunther, and CM Punk, adding to the wealth of talent that's been getting over for the past several months. With five title changes occurring over SummerSlam weekend, four from the PLE on Saturday, there's a cementing of opinions about who holds the most cachet among the wrestlers.
A monthly heat check, the rankings focus on a wrestler’s ability to sell their character, the quality of their storyline and of course their actual ring prowess. The latter category includes their wrestling skill level as well as the value of their signature finishing move; both in entertainment and consistency in execution.
