WWE announced Monday morning that women's star Paige has been suspended for 60 days after a second violation of its wellness policy. She was just finishing up a first suspension and had yet to officially return to the roster.
For her part, Paige seemed unaffected by the news, noting on Twitter that "Rules apply depending on your status" and then snarkily advising wrestlers not to get prescriptions or doctor's notes. Her father also posted a defense to Facebook, claiming that the drug failures are due to a long-term neck injury, for which she had been receiving treatment.

Earlier in the month, Paige's boyfriend, Alberto Del Rio, was also suspended for a wellness violation and was eventually released by WWE on bad terms. This is Paige's second "strike" on the program, and if she receives one more she will be terminated under terms of the policy.
