Away from WWE for about a year, Bret Hart will make his first appearance since being diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer at WWE's Payback event May 1.

Hart, 58, announced Feb. 1 that he had prostate cancer. Later that month he had successful surgery and has been recovering since.

He is returning to be in the corner of his niece, Natalya, who will be fighting Ric Flair's daughter Charlotte — the women's champion — at Payback at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.

Hart and Flair are longtime rivals.
