Erica Wheeler is speaking out about why she left the Indiana Fever — kind of.

On Sunday, June 8, Wheeler fired off a simple message on X: "…go where you’re appreciated and not tolerated!"

However, after speculation that she was referencing her move to the Storm this year, Wheeler added, "Ok guys this wasn’t a basketball tweet hahah! I am much appreciated in the basketball world!"

Wheeler also addressed a commenter who described "the switch up" as "crazy."

"Hahaha I am assuming you think my tweet was about basketball?" she wrote. "Hahaha like take a break from being negative! It ages people very fast! I am not just a basketball ma’am or sir whoever you are hiding behind this account!"

Last season Wheeler averaged 3.6 points, 1.8 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 14 minutes per game across 39 games. With the Storm she's improved across the board and currently averages 9.8 points, 3.6 boards and 3.6 assists in 21.9 minutes per game in Seattle.
