The Mercury entered the 2025 season with low expectations — at least, many WNBA commentators and fans had low expectations, but it's becoming quite clear the actual players on the team knew exactly who they were and who they can be. The team is enjoying a dominant and exciting season so far, and that's in large part to the effort of Satou Sabally.

Sabally joined the Mercury as part of a huge four-team trade earlier this year. She has been put in incredible performances this season, including 25 points and six rebounds as part of the team's 106-91 win over the Liberty this weekend.

The Mercury also set a franchise record of 18 makes from beyond the arc, and Sabally tied her own career-high of seven 3-pointers (out of 10 attempts).

“I really work hard, and I really enjoy playing alongside amazing players … When you have greatness around you, things come easier,” Sabally told reporters after the game. “If you keep working on your game and never stop believing in yourself, then you’ll just have your moment to shine.”

If you aren't paying attention to the Mercury, don't get left behind — the team is on fire right now.
