Paige Bueckers just made history as the first WNBA player to record 60 points and 30 assists through her first five career games. In her most recent outing, she powered the Dallas Wings to their first victory of the season with a standout performance: 21 points, seven assists, five rebounds, two steals and a block against the Phoenix Mercury.

The rookie leads the Wings in scoring, averaging 14.6 points per game, and tops the team in assists with 6.4 through these initial five contests.

After the game, Bueckers praised her teammates, crediting them for creating opportunities and helping her knock down shots. “It felt great just to play like that as a team,” she said.

Teammate Maddy Siegrist shared her thoughts on playing alongside Bueckers, having spent years watching her from the other side. “It’s definitely better playing with her than it is against her,” Siegrist admitted. “Obviously she’s just such a great teammate and not only is she a great basketball player, but the way she, like, really makes her teammates better — so I’m happy to be able to play with her.”

Bueckers returned the praise, highlighting how Siegrist has helped her grow as a player. Both young stars are eager to continue leading the Wings forward.
