Kiki Iriafen is making WNBA history just weeks into her rookie season. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 draft has become the first rookie since Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and Satou Sabally to record three straight double-doubles, joining elite company with a streak only these few have matched since 2020.

Her latest performance came against the Las Vegas Aces, where Iriafen tallied 17 points and 13 rebounds. That followed a 10-point, 12-rebound effort against the Golden State Valkyries and a 17-point, 14-rebound showing versus the Connecticut Sun.

With these standout games, Iriafen became the first rookie in Washington Mystics history to notch three consecutive double-doubles. She is also the youngest player since Tina Charles in 2010 to accomplish the feat.

If she continues this level of play, Iriafen could soon be chasing league record books. Last season, Angel Reese set the WNBA record for the most consecutive double-doubles with 15. While that’s a tall order, Iriafen’s rebounding tenacity and consistent scoring suggest she’s more than capable of mounting a challenge.

For a rookie, stringing together performances like these against some of the league’s top competition isn’t just impressive, it’s rare. The Mystics may have found a franchise cornerstone, and the league is officially on notice.
