A'ja Wilson's mom interrupted the WNBA star's press conference following the Aces' 104-102 win over the Golden State Valkyries this weekend — all to tell her daughter she needed to change how she looked.

Wilson surprised reporters by taking a phone call. "I’m sorry, can you say that one more time?" Wilson said into the phone before she explained, "My mom just sent me a picture of the way I look on this press conference. She sent me a picture and was like, ‘Why?’ Okay mom, I’m sorry."

Wilson, who was wearing a red headscarf at the conference, adjusted her appearance and continued.

As one fan put it via Instagram, "😂😂😂 can always count on mom to humble us."

The head wrapping was part of the same outfit Wilson wore ahead of the game.

Wilson, who recently missed a game with the team after she injured her wrist, launched a powerhouse performance against the Valkyries. She became the WNBA's first player to rack up 34 points, 16 rebounds, and 2 blocks in a game and shot 70% from the field.

The Aces will next travel to Dallas to play the Wings on July 16.
