WNBA GMs reveal how they really feel about Caitlin Clark image

The WNBA season begins on Friday, May 16, and with that beginning comes a flurry of league news: roster are being sliced and diced, MVP predictions are being made before players have played more than 2 preseason games, and the WNBA has released an anonymous GM survey that is quite revealing.

To no one's surprise, Caitlin Clark was a major part of the survey's questions and answers. Here's what the league GMs had to say about the young hooper:

  • 8% of GMs would choose Clark as MVP: the most popular choice was Napheesa Collier, with 67% of the vote, and then A'ja Wilson with 8%
  • 10% of GMs think the Indiana Fever will win the championship: the Minnesota Lynx took 60% of the vote, followed by the Liberty with 20%.
  • 50% of GMs would want to sign Clark if starting a new franchise
  • 25% of GMs think Clark forces other players to make the most adjustments. GMs went with Wilson as the best overall in this category — she got 33% of the vote.
  • 50% of GMs think Clark is the best point guard in the league. The other 50% voted for Chelsea Gray.
  • 33% of GMs named Clark the best shooting guard in the WNBA – and she took top honors. Clark was followed by Kayla McBride.

Of course, there's no way to know if these predictions will pan out to become reality without watching games. Luckily, they are just around the corner, and we have months and months of women's basketball ahead of us.
