Fever coach catches Caitlin Clark in sideline mistake image

Caitlin Clark is spending a lot of time on the sidelines during Indiana Fever games for at least the next two weeks as she recovers from a left quad strain. The team announced the news on Monday, May 26.

The Fever played the Mystics on Wednesday, and Clark was a visible presence on the bench. Coach Stephanie White told reporters ahead of the game that Clark would be sitting with coaches to learn more about how they're thinking and feeling during a game, but in a video shared on X, Clark got caught overstepping her role.

In the video, Clark was visibly locked in when coach White walked up and told her to move — because she was in White's seat. Clark immediately hopped up and found another seat.

Here's the full clip:

Not only was the moment super funny, but it could perhaps even foreshadow a role that Clark could fill years down the road.
