Day two of the Iowa high school state softball tournament went down Tuesday from Rogers Park in Fort Dodge, as Class 3A concluded and both 2A and 1A hit the fields.

Here are some of the top individual performances from the second day of the action at the Iowa high school state softball tournament:

Class 3A

  • Alley Gorsh, Williamsburg: Gorsh was 4-for-4 with a home run, driving in two and a run scored as the two-time defending champs advanced, 7-2.
  • Colbie Greiner, Washington: Greiner had a home run, driving in two for the Demons.
  • Grace Pence, Albia: Pence delivered, striking out 12 with just six hits allowed and no walks in a 2-1 win for the Lady Dees.
  • Zoey Zanoni, Albia: Zanoni drove in the winning run, going 2-for-3 to lead Albia to the semifinals.

Class 2A

  • Preslee Dickman, West Fork: A homer and a double by Dickman resulted in four RBI, two runs scored and the first state win for the program.
  • Libby Trewin, West Fork: Trewin spun a four-hitter, striking out eight with an RBI herself.
  • Finley Netten, Van Meter: Netten homered, scoring twice as the defending champs returned to the semifinals.
  • Bianca Prickett, Van Meter: Prickett drove in two on two hits for the Bulldogs.
  • Bailey Grant, East Marshall: Grant collected a pair of RBI with a double in a tough loss.
  • Jessa Ciesielski, West Lyon: The No. 8 hitter was 3-for-3 with four RBI and a home run.
  • Braylyn Childress, West Lyon: Childress finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in a 10-8 win.
  • Kamryn Taylor, Louisa-Muscatine: Taylor drove in three runs in a 5-2 victory while also earning the win by allowing just one hit in five-plus.

Class 1A

  • Ava Whitney, Wayne: Whitney was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored in leading her team to the semifinals.
  • Ella Whitney, Wayne: Whitney added three runs scored with three stolen bases.
  • Adaline Martens, Riverside: Martens started it, recording three hits with two runs and an RBI.
  • Claire Lodge, Clarksville: Lodge was 2-for-4 with a home run, driving in a pair in a 5-4 win in extras.
  • Emmalee Manwarren, Clarksville: With three hits, two steals and a run scored, Manwarren had a complete game.
  • Leah Brown, Mason City Newman: Brown was 2-for-3 with three runs scored.
  • Mariah Myers, St. Edmond: The Iowa recruit hit a towering home run and a double between being walked three times.
  • Faith Shirbroun, St. Edmond: Shirbroun had three hits, scored three times, stole two bases and drove in a run.
