Two imposing offensive linemen became the latest in-state coup for Texas A&M football coach Mike Elko.

Avery Morcho, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound Class of 2026 tackle from Fort Bend Ridge Point High School (Missouri City, Texas), and Zaden Krempin, a 6-5, 270-pound Class of 2026 tackle from Prosper, both announced on Wednesday that they have committed to the Aggies.

Morcho chose Texas A&M over a variety of other schools, including in-state schools such as TCU and SMU.

“Coach Elko is making a change in College Station and I want to be a part of it,” Morcho said in an interview with On3. “I feel like going to A&M it’s going to be the best chance of developing me as a man and a top (10) draft pick!”

Morcho was named a first-team All-District 21-6A as a junior and is considered the No. 38 offensive tackle in the nation by On3.

He made his official visit to College Station earlier in June.

“Highlights were my meetings with (offensive line coach Adam) Cushing and Coach Elko and the plan for me in the potential future,” Morcho told On3.

Then later on Wednesday, Krempin made his announcement to join Elko and the Aggies.

“I am 100% committed to Texas A&M,” Krempin wrote on his X page. “Thank you God for guiding me through this entire process. To my family, coaches, teammates and friends I love you all. The hard work has just begun.”

Krempin, a four-star recruit, chose the Aggies over the likes of Texas, LSU and Michigan and is considered the No. 19 offensive lineman in the Class of 2026 by 247Sports. Cushing, along with Texas A&M offensive coordinator Collin Klein, were among those who really reached out to Krempin - who also recently had his official visit with A&M - and helped sway him toward the Aggies.

“Everything was incredible,” Krempin said in an interview with GigEm247. “The amount of time the coaches spent with me and my parents was awesome.”

The commitments from both Morcho and Krempin continues to bolster the Aggies even more, with Texas A&M surging to No. 2 in On3’s nationwide recruiting rankings. Morcho and Krempin also joins other Class of ’26 in-state talent such as Carthage running back KJ Edwards, Cibolo Steele running back Jonathan Hatton Jr., Mansfield Timberview safety Chance Collins and Fort Bend Marshall quarterback Kaeden Johnson

Recruiting experts have also taken notice of both Morcho and Krempin

“(Morcho is a ) high upside OT potential with a tough, hard-nosed mentality, one of the best in Houston is headed to College Station,” Jason Howell, a senior recruiting analyst for TexAgs.com, wrote on his X page.

As for Krempin, Howell remarked that the lineman is an “athlete in the trenches with a mean disposition and a multi-year standout up front for one of the top high school OL’s in Texas, the Aggies dive into DFW for one of the best in Texas.”
