Malorie Boesiger knew where she wanted to play college volleyball. And even though she still has two years before she can make that happen, the Norris High School junior-to-be committed.
Boesiger, one of the top players in the Class of 2027 as a setter, committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers recently, according to social media. She had interest from 10 other programs, but wanted to join the Huskers.
"I'm extremely excited to announce my commitment to the University of Nebraska to further my academic and volleyball career," Boesiger posted. "First, I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play the sport I love and glorify Him. I also want to thank my family for all the support and love they've given me.
"Thank you to my coaches and teammates that have pushed me to get better."

She noted that Nebraska offers her the chance to "live out my dream" by staying home and playing for one of the top programs in the country.
Boesiger is the first commit for the class and will be the second member of her family, as sister Maise Boesiger will be a senior for Nebraska this fall. She ranks in the Top 35 overall by PrepDig for 2027 players and is in the Top 10 in terms of setters in the country.
Nebraska has won five AIAW/NCAA championships with the last coming in 2017. They were runners-up in 2023 and five other seasons under legendary head coach Terry Pettit and John Cook.
Dani Busboom Kelly will replace Cook this season. Kelly played for him from 2003-06 before taking over at Louisville where she won four ACC titles and went 203-44 overall.
