Six state softball championships in Pennsylvania will be handed out in a span of two days.

The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) conducts its high school softball state championship games Thursday and Friday. All six games take place in State College at Penn State University’s Nittany Lion Softball Park.

Thursday, the 2A, 4A and 6A title games take place, while on Friday, the title games for 1A, 3A and 5A will be held.

Thursday, the first pitch for the 2A title game between South Williamsport and Neshannock is at 11 a.m. ET, first pitch for the 4A title game between Valley View and Kennard-Dale is at 1:30 p.m. ET, and the 6A title game between Central Dauphin and Nazareth is at 4 p.m. ET. All games will take place at Penn State University in State College.

Friday, the first pitch for the 1A title game between Northeast Bradford and Union Area is at 11 a.m. ET, first pitch for the 3A title game between Pine Grove Area and Bald Eagle Area is at 1:30 p.m. ET, and the 5A title game between Greencastle Antrim and Penn-Trafford is at 4 p.m. ET. All games will take place at Penn State University in State College.

PIAA softball title games overview

The first game Thursday will be at 11 a.m. ET and is the 2A title game between South Williamsport taking on Neshannock. South Williamsport advanced to the title game after a 9-5 semifinal win against Williams Valley, while Neshannock made it after run-ruling Chartiers-Houston, 12-1, in five innings.

At 1:30 p.m. ET, the 4A title game takes place between Valley View and Kennard-Dale. Valley View made it to the finals after edging Northwestern Lehigh, 5-4, in the semifinal round while Kennard-Dale posted a 5-2 win in its semifinal against Fort LeBoeuf.

Thursday’s final title game will be the 6A final between Central Dauphin and Nazareth at 4 p.m. ET. Central Dauphin qualified after a 2-0 semifinal win against Perkiomen Valley, while Nazareth got past Hempfield Area, 6-4, in its semifinal.

Friday’s action begins at 11 a.m. ET with the 1A title game between Northeast Bradford and Union Area. Northeast Bradford needed eight innings to outlast Claysburg Kimmel, 1-0, in the semifinal round, while Union Area won 8-0 against Cambridge Springs.

The second title game Friday is the 3A championship at 1:30 p.m. ET between Pine Grove Area and Bald Eagle Area. Pine Grove Area bested Mid Valley, 3-0, to reach the title game, while Bald Eagle Area also got a semifinal shutout, downing Susquenita, 5-0.

Friday’s final championship game is the 5A title game at 4 p.m. ET between Greencastle Antrim and Penn-Trafford. Greencastle Antrim posted a 13-0 semifinal win against West Chester East, and Penn-Trafford picked up an 8-2 win in its semifinal against West Allegheny.
